Sale price × commission × sales = your payout.
Your commission is calculated from the sale price below.
Average value of the sale that earns you commission.
Percentage of the sale price you earn.
How many qualifying sales or conversions generated commission.
Estimate only - your actual payout may differ based on your affiliate program's rules (qualifying products, discounts, refunds, and exclusions can all change the real number). Don't know your sale count yet? Use the link revenue calculator to estimate it from clicks instead.
Know the commission math. Then see which video actually drove the affiliate click.
Sale price × commission rate. A $100 sale at 10% commission earns $10.
Earnings per sale × number of sales. 50 sales at $10 each is $500 total.
The correct commissionable amount depends on the affiliate program - depending on the program, commission may be based on the full product price, the discounted purchase price, only eligible items, or a program-specific qualifying order value. There's no single rule that applies to every program, so use the amount your program actually calculates commission on.
The percentage of a qualifying sale that's paid to you.
The percentage of clicks that become a qualifying sale in the first place.
Example: 1,000 clicks at a 4% conversion rate is 40 sales. At a $100 average sale and 10% commission, that's 40 × $10 = $400. Only know your clicks and conversion rate, not a sale count yet? Use the link revenue calculator to estimate sales from clicks.
$100 product, 10% commission, 50 sales. $100 × 10% = $10 per sale. 50 × $10 = $500 total.
A YouTube creator recommends a $250 product at an 8% commission and gets 40 sales. $250 × 8% = $20 per sale. 40 × $20 = $800 total affiliate commission. Illustrative example, not real GoloLink customer data.
At a fixed $10 per sale, here's how the total scales with sale count - a mathematical example, not a typical or expected earnings figure:
| Sales | Commission per sale | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | $10 | $100 |
| 50 | $10 | $500 |
| 100 | $10 | $1,000 |
| 500 | $10 | $5,000 |
The funnel behind a creator's affiliate commission runs: YouTube views → outbound link clicks → affiliate conversions → commission. If you already know your sale count from a video, this calculator gives you the commission immediately. If you only know your views or clicks, work through the funnel first: calculate your outbound CTR to get a click number, then estimate sales from clicks with the link revenue calculator. See more on this in how many views affiliate links need before they convert and the state of YouTube affiliate revenue report.
