What's new

Product Updates

New features, improvements, and fixes shipped to GoloLink.

  1. Custom link previews for social shares

The default preview a platform generates for your link isn't always the one you'd pick.

    • Custom title, description, and image per link
    • Falls back to the destination page's own metadata if you don't set one
    • Preview shown in the link editor before you publish
  2. Clearer confirmation when changing a link's slug

Changing a slug is a bigger deal than it looks, so it now says so clearly.

    • Confirmation dialog spells out what happens to the old URL
    • Separate messaging for the main slug vs. an additional alias
    • Prevents accidental slug changes on links that are already shared
  3. Smart Pick legacy links keep working after the update

An update to how Smart Pick URLs are generated could have broken links created before the change.

    • Legacy Smart Picks continue resolving under their original path
    • No action needed on your end - existing Smart Picks are unaffected
    • New Smart Picks use the current format going forward
  4. Multiple short URL aliases per link

One destination, multiple short URLs - useful for running the same link across different domains or campaigns.

    • Add as many aliases as you need to a single link
    • Choose a different domain per alias
    • Inline availability hint while typing a new slug
  5. Team roles and permissions for workspaces

Agencies and small teams needed a way to share a workspace without sharing full control of it.

    • Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles per workspace
    • Editors can manage links and Bio Pages but not billing or domains
    • Invite by email, with access revocable at any time
  6. Smart Pick drag-and-drop reordering

The order links appear in a Smart Pick matters - now it's quick to change.

    • Drag and drop to reorder, with keyboard support too
    • Changes save automatically, no separate "save order" step
    • Preview updates live as you drag
  7. Bulk-action footer stays visible while you scroll

Selecting a batch of links and then losing the delete button off-screen was a bad combination.

    • Bulk actions bar now stays fixed at the bottom while a selection is active
    • Automatically hides again once you clear your selection
    • Works the same way on the Links and Videos pages
  8. Reserved words protected across every custom slug

A short link or Smart Pick using a reserved word could previously conflict with a real page on the site.

    • Full list of reserved words checked at creation time, not just a handful
    • Clear error message pointing at the conflict instead of a silent failure
    • Applies consistently across links, Bio Pages, and Smart Picks
  9. Broken link alerts sent to Slack or email

The broken link checker only helped if you were looking at the dashboard when it found something.

    • Send alerts to a Slack channel or an email address
    • Choose which tags or links to watch, instead of alerting on everything
    • One alert per broken link, not one per check
  10. Faster dashboard load times

If you have hundreds of links or videos, the dashboard should feel a lot snappier now.

    • Reduced initial data fetched on page load
    • Pagination and filtering happen server-side instead of in the browser
    • Biggest improvement on accounts with 500+ links
  11. Fixed: welcome email now sent after you confirm your email

A small but annoying one - the welcome email could arrive before you'd even confirmed your address.

    • Welcome email now sends right after confirmation, not at signup
    • Reduces confusion for anyone who mistyped their email the first time
  12. Fixed: occasional duplicate billing webhook events

Under rare timing conditions, a billing provider webhook could fire twice for the same event.

    • Every webhook event is now deduplicated before processing
    • Events are applied in the order they actually occurred, not the order they arrived
    • No action needed - this was fully server-side
  13. Two-factor authentication for your account

Your GoloLink account controls every link, domain, and Bio Page you own - it's worth locking down.

    • Works with any standard authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy)
    • Backup codes provided in case you lose access to the app
    • Optional, but recommended for any account with a custom domain attached
  14. Bio Page view analytics

Until now, Bio Pages only showed clicks on the links inside them - not the page itself.

    • Total views for the Bio Page, separate from link clicks
    • Per-block click-through rate, so you can see what your audience actually taps
    • Same date-range picker as everywhere else in analytics
  15. Device and browser breakdown for link clicks

Knowing where clicks come from is half the picture - knowing what device they're on is the other half.

    • Mobile vs. desktop vs. tablet split on the link detail page
    • Top browsers, grouped and labeled in plain language
    • Same breakdown available for Bio Pages and Smart Picks
  16. Video-level rollup analytics across all its links

Most videos have more than one link in the description - performance should reflect that.

    • Combined clicks-over-time chart across every link on a video
    • Per-link breakdown still available underneath the total
    • Same date-range controls as the individual link charts
  17. Bulk-apply tags to multiple links at once

Tagging links one at a time didn't scale once an account had hundreds of them.

    • Select multiple links and apply or remove a tag in one step
    • Works from the same selection used for bulk delete
    • Tag filters update immediately, no page refresh needed
  18. QR codes for every short link

Not every audience clicks a link on screen - some scan it off one.

    • Download as PNG or SVG
    • Automatically points at your current short URL, even after a slug change
    • Available from the link detail page and the bulk actions menu
  19. Help Center is live

Instead of emailing support for common questions, there's now a guide for that.

    • Organized by topic - Links, Bio Pages, Smart Picks, domains, billing
    • Full-text search across every article
    • Linked directly from relevant screens in the app
  20. Bio Link template gallery

Starting a Bio Page from scratch is slower than it needs to be.

    • Browse a gallery of ready-made layouts
    • Preview a template before applying it
    • Applying a template keeps your existing links and content where possible
  21. Free calculators: RPM, earnings, sponsorship rate, and more

No sign-up required - these are free for any creator to use.

    • YouTube RPM and earnings calculators
    • Sponsorship rate and affiliate commission calculators
    • Link revenue calculator that ties clicks to expected payout
  22. Link performance detail page

Instead of piecing performance together from the list view, every link now has its own detail page.

    • Clicks-over-time chart with an adjustable date range
    • Referrer, device, and country breakdowns
    • Domain and health status shown alongside performance, not on a separate tab
  23. Custom URLs for Smart Picks

Your Smart Pick's URL can now match your brand instead of a random string.

    • Edit the slug from the Smart Pick settings panel
    • Live availability check as you type
    • Old URL keeps working automatically after a slug change
  24. Toggle between Views and Clicks on Smart Pick charts

Views and clicks tell different stories - now you can see both without leaving the page.

    • One shared toggle applies across every chart on the Smart Pick page
    • Your last choice is remembered next time you come back
    • Same toggle now matches the one on individual link charts
  25. Export links, videos, and Smart Picks to CSV

Sometimes you just want the data in a spreadsheet.

    • Export the current filtered view or your entire list
    • Confirmation step before exporting anything unusually large
    • Same column set as what's shown on screen, so nothing is a surprise
  26. Faster tag filtering and management

Tags are one of the most-used ways to organize links - they needed to feel instant.

    • Toggling a tag filter no longer waits on a full page reload
    • Pending vs. saved state is now visible while a tag change is in flight
    • New color chips make active tag filters easier to scan at a glance
  27. Country-level click data on every link

Every link now tracks the visitor's country automatically, so you can see where your audience actually is.

    • Country breakdown on the link detail page
    • Included in CSV exports
    • No cookie banner or extra consent needed - it's derived at the edge, not from a tracking script
  28. Clearer link health status messages

When a link fails its background health check, you now get a message you can actually act on.

    • Plain-language explanation for redirects, timeouts, and 404s
    • Rate-limited destinations are labeled "inconclusive," not "broken"
    • Last-checked timestamp shown next to every status
  29. "Link Groups" is now just "Links"

A naming cleanup: what used to be called "Link Groups" throughout the app and docs is now simply "Links."

    • Sidebar, page titles, and Help Center articles all updated
    • No change to how your existing links, tags, or Smart Picks work
    • Old bookmarked URLs still redirect correctly
  30. Simpler custom domain setup with live DNS status

Connecting a custom domain used to mean guessing whether your DNS records were right. Now you can see it.

    • Live status per record - pending, verified, or misconfigured
    • Copy-ready record values, no more retyping from a screenshot
    • Automatic recheck in the background once records are updated
  31. Custom domains for Bio Pages and Smart Picks

Your Bio Page and Smart Picks can now live on a domain your audience already recognizes.

    • Connect any domain or subdomain you own
    • Step-by-step DNS instructions with live verification
    • Short links, Bio Pages, and Smart Picks can each use a different domain
  32. Faster, more accessible date & time picker

Setting a link expiration date now uses a real segmented time field instead of your browser's default time input, plus a calendar that matches the rest of GoloLink.

    • Keyboard-navigable calendar grid with proper focus states
    • Segmented hour / minute / AM-PM input you can type directly into
    • Same look everywhere a date is picked in the app
  33. Consistent destructive actions, dialogs, and focus states

Every delete button, confirmation dialog, and error screen in the app now shares one consistent pattern instead of several slightly different ones.

    • One shared "destructive" style for every delete action, with a loading spinner while it runs
    • Dialogs close on Escape and stop background scrolling while open
    • "Try again" error screens use the same button style everywhere
    • List rows on the Links and Videos pages are now real links - open in a new tab, right-click, and keyboard navigation all work as expected
  34. Import videos and links straight from your YouTube channel

No more tagging videos one at a time. Point GoloLink at your channel and it finds what's already there.

    • Scans your channel's video descriptions for existing shortener and affiliate links
    • Flags videos with no link at all, so you know where you're leaving clicks untracked
    • One-click import creates videos, links, and short URLs for everything found
  35. Broken link checker for your tracked links

Destination pages change or disappear - now you'll know before your audience does.

    • A new "Broken" filter on the Links page
    • Automatic background checks, no manual re-testing needed
    • Rate-limited destinations are treated as inconclusive, not broken, so you don't get false alarms
  36. Bulk select and delete for links and videos

Cleaning up old links and videos no longer means deleting them one at a time.

    • Select individual rows or everything on the page at once
    • One confirmation step before anything is deleted
    • Bulk delete runs in a single batched request, so it stays fast even with a lot selected
  37. Early beta is open - every plan is free during the beta period

We're opening GoloLink up to early creators. Every feature across every plan is free for the length of the beta - no credit card required.

    • Full access to Creator and Growth plan features during beta
    • Pricing takes effect once beta ends, with plenty of notice beforehand
    • We're onboarding creators by hand - reply to any of our emails if you hit a snag
  38. New billing, new pricing page, self-serve plan changes

Billing got a full rebuild, front to back.

    • Clearer pricing page with monthly/yearly toggle and plan comparison
    • Self-serve upgrade, downgrade, and cancellation - no email required
    • Promo pricing support for limited-time offers
  39. Referrer breakdown for every link

A click count on its own doesn't tell you where your audience found the link.

    • Referrer breakdown on the link detail page
    • Groups known platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) instead of showing raw URLs
    • Included in CSV exports
  40. Fixed: click counts could double-count rapid repeat visits

Click counts are only useful if they're accurate.

    • Repeat hits from the same visitor within a short window now count once
    • Applies to links, Bio Pages, and Smart Picks
    • Historical counts were not retroactively changed
  41. Mobile-friendly dashboard

Most of you check your numbers from your phone. The dashboard didn't really support that until now.

    • Responsive layout for Links, Videos, Bio Pages, and Smart Picks
    • Charts and tables reflow instead of requiring horizontal scroll
    • Bio Page editor still recommended on a larger screen for now
  42. Link expiration and scheduling

Sponsored links and limited-time offers don't need to stay live forever.

    • Schedule a link to go live at a future date and time
    • Set an expiration after which it stops resolving
    • Expired links show a clear message instead of a broken redirect
  43. Faster redirect service - sub-50ms globally

A slow redirect is a lost click - this was worth the rebuild.

    • Redirects now run at the edge, closer to your audience
    • Sub-50ms median redirect time worldwide
    • No change to how links, Bio Pages, or Smart Picks are created or managed
  44. API rate limits raised for growing accounts

A handful of larger accounts were hitting the same ceiling as brand-new ones.

    • Rate limits now scale with your plan
    • Clear 429 response with a retry-after header instead of a silent drop
    • No change for typical usage - this only affects high-volume accounts
  45. Password reset and account security improvements

Account recovery shouldn't require emailing support.

    • Self-serve password reset by email
    • Notification on login from a new device
    • Ability to sign out of every other active session at once
  46. Fixed: short links occasionally 404'd right after creation

Right after creating a link, hitting it immediately could return a 404 for a few seconds.

    • New links now resolve immediately, no propagation delay
    • Applies to links, Bio Pages, and Smart Picks alike
    • No action needed - fully server-side
  47. Dashboard redesign for faster navigation

The dashboard had grown past its original layout - this pass gave it room to keep growing.

    • New sidebar grouping Links, Videos, Bio Pages, and Smart Picks
    • Consistent page header and filters across every section
    • Faster page-to-page navigation, no full reload
  48. Tag your links to stay organized

A flat list of links stops working once you have more than a few dozen.

    • Add multiple tags to any link
    • Filter the Links page by one or more tags
    • Tag colors so active filters are easy to scan
  49. Custom short domains

A link that reads as your brand converts better than one that reads as ours.

    • Connect a domain or subdomain you already own
    • DNS instructions built into the setup flow
    • Existing shared-domain links keep working after you switch
  50. Smart Picks: route clicks based on rules

Not every click should land on the same page.

    • Route by country, device type, or a simple A/B split
    • Set a default destination for anything that doesn't match a rule
    • One shared analytics view across every destination
  51. Bio Pages: one link for your whole channel

The one link every platform gives you in a profile now has somewhere real to point.

    • Add any mix of links, videos, and text blocks
    • Reorder everything by dragging
    • Publishes to a gololink.link/@yourhandle URL instantly
  52. Click analytics for every link

A single click count wasn't enough to tell whether a link was working.

    • Clicks-over-time chart on every link
    • Compare any two date ranges
    • Numbers update in near real time, not on a delay
  53. Add and manage videos

This is what makes per-video attribution possible.

    • Add a video by URL and attach one or more links to it
    • Videos page shows every link tied to that upload
    • Works whether the video is public, unlisted, or a Short
  54. Workspace-based accounts

Managing links for more than one channel used to mean more than one account.

    • One workspace can hold links, videos, and Bio Pages for multiple channels
    • Switch between workspaces without logging out
    • Billing and plan limits apply per workspace
  55. Sign up and create your first short link

The foundation: an account, and a short link that redirects where you tell it to.

    • Email sign-up, no invite required
    • Create a short link in one form - destination, slug, done
    • Click count visible immediately, no waiting on a batch job
  56. GoloLink is live

GoloLink is open. Built for one problem: knowing which video actually drove a click, not just which video got views.

    • Short links you can create and track in seconds
    • Per-video attribution from day one, not bolted on later
    • More on the way - this is the start, not the finished product
