How attribution works
Video-level and Smart Pick-level attribution, explained.
"Attribution" just means tying a click back to the specific thing that generated it, instead of one blended total.
Video-level attribution
When a short URL is attached to a video, every click on it is tagged with that video. If the same destination has a separate short URL on several videos, GoloLink keeps their click counts apart, even though they lead to the same place. See Attaching links to videos.
Smart Pick attribution
A Smart Pick page tracks clicks at two levels at once: per product, and per destination within that product (so you know both which product people are interested in, and which store they actually chose to buy from).
What attribution doesn't cover
GoloLink attributes clicks - it doesn't see sales, signups, or revenue on the other end of that click. If you need to connect a click to a sale, that data lives with your affiliate network, payment processor, or product analytics tool; GoloLink gives you the click-level half of that picture.
