Slugs and link expiration
Custom slug rules, availability, and setting a link to stop working automatically.
Slug rules
A custom slug must be 4–32 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. A handful of words are reserved (like login, pricing, dashboard) and can't be used as a slug.
Slug availability
Slugs are unique per domain - the same slug can exist once on golo.to and separately on each of your own custom domains. If a slug is already taken on the domain you picked, GoloLink tells you immediately and suggests a few close alternatives.
Reusing a deleted slug
If you delete a link (or just one of its short URLs), that slug becomes available again right away - anyone, including you, can claim it again on the same domain.
Changing a destination
Editing a link's destination URL never changes its slug. The short URL people already have keeps working; it just sends them somewhere new from now on.
Link expiration
Set an expiration date on a link's Destination section to make its short URLs stop redirecting automatically after that time. Leave it blank to keep the link active indefinitely.
