Connecting a custom domain

Add your domain and verify it with DNS records.

  1. From Settings → Domains, add the domain you own.
  2. Add the ownership (TXT) record GoloLink gives you at your DNS provider, and the routing record (an A record for a root domain, or a CNAME for a subdomain).
  3. Click Verify domain once you've added both - this isn't automatic, GoloLink only checks when you click it.
  4. If DNS is correct, SSL issues automatically after that; if not, fix the flagged record and click Verify again.

Domain statuses

  • Pending - added, but not yet verified (or your ownership record wasn't found on the last check).
  • Activating - DNS looks correct, SSL certificate is being issued.
  • Verified - live and ready to use.
  • Misconfigured - a DNS record doesn't match what's expected, found on a Verify check (this can happen on your very first attempt, not only after something changes later).
  • Error - something went wrong; check your DNS records against what's shown in Settings.

How long DNS changes take

DNS propagation is usually minutes but can take up to 48 hours depending on your provider. Click Verify domain again after waiting - GoloLink doesn't recheck your DNS in the background on its own.
