Create your first tracked link in 2 minutes
Create a short link, attach it to a video, and start seeing clicks.
- Go to Links in your dashboard and create a new link - paste the destination URL (your affiliate link, product page, or anything you want to send viewers to).
- Give it a custom slug if you want a memorable short URL instead of a random one.
- Save it, then attach the link to the video it appears in from the link's Short URLs section (or from the video's own page). This is what makes per-video attribution work - GoloLink can now tell you clicks came from this video, not just "somewhere."
- Put the short link in your video description (or pinned comment) instead of the raw destination URL.
From here, every click on that link is logged and shown in Analytics, broken down by video, country, device, and referrer.
One link, multiple videos
You can reuse the same destination across multiple videos - attach a separate short URL to each video, and GoloLink tracks clicks per video, even though the link points to the same place.
UTM parameters
GoloLink can automatically append UTM parameters to your destination URL, so your existing analytics (Google Analytics, Shopify, etc.) also see where traffic came from. See UTM parameters.
