Open in native browser

Prompt visitors stuck in Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook webviews to continue in Safari or Chrome.

When someone taps your short link inside Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or a similar app, the destination often opens in that app's built-in browser (a webview) instead of Safari or Chrome. Those webviews can break checkout, block cookies, or load pages poorly - so a click you've already earned converts worse than it should.

Open in native browser (also called in-app-browser escape) detects those webviews and shows a short interstitial that sends the visitor into their regular browser, then on to your destination.

This is different from App redirects, which open a retailer's native app (Amazon, etc.) when it's installed. Escape is about leaving the social app's webview; app redirects are about opening a store app.

How to turn it on or off

  1. Go to Settings → Links.
  2. Toggle Prompt visitors to leave in-app browsers.
  3. Save.

The setting applies to all short links in your workspace. There is no per-link override today.

Who sees the interstitial

Only visitors whose browser looks like an in-app webview (for example Instagram or TikTok). Everyone else - including bots - goes straight to the destination as usual. The click is still recorded either way.

Plan availability

Whether you can use this feature depends on your plan. If it isn't included, Settings → Links shows the option as locked with a path to plans and billing. Availability is controlled per plan, so check your current plan if the toggle isn't available.
